1. Unpack the archive tar -xpzf landshop-0.9.1.tgz
  2. Check the permissions.
The following directories must be writable by everyone:
    • cache
    • tmp
    • pdfs
    • pdfs/gr
    • pdfs/de
    • pdfs/gr
    • object_images
    • object_images/norm
    • object_images/medium
    • object_images/thumbs
The easiest way to do this is on the command line chmod -Rf a+rwX cache pdfs object_images
  3. Open the file include/config.include
  4. Edit the following lines: $host = "localhost"; Here you enter the hostname for your database (usually localhost is OK, if you are not sure leave it as is) $db = ""; Enter the database where you want to install the Landshop tables $dbuser = ""; The username for the database $dbpwd = ""; The password for the database $dbprefix = "LS_"; The prefix for the Landshop tables. If you have no other tables in your db starting with "LS_" you should leave this as is. $landshop_dir = "/landshop-0.7"; this should reflect the name of the base installation directory. So if you rename the directory, say, to "landshop" you must change the value above as well.
  5. In your browser, run install/install.php.
    Your url will look like
You can install example data as well just to see how thinks would look like. Just check the box next to "Would you like to add some example data?"

Installing the examples

If you chose to install example data in the tables you must also install the example images to make sense out of them.
  1. Download and unpack the archive example_images.tgz tar -xpzf example_images.tgz
  2. Copy the contents of the directory example_images into the directory object_images in your Landshop installation directory.
This will replace the directories norm, medium and thumbs
  3. Check the permissions and make sure these directories are still writable by the web server.
If not or if in doubt, run chmod -Rf a+rwX object_images again.
